As we journey on this earth, we shall continue to be in a warfare with the devil till we die. I must say that it is an already won battle, but it could be reversed if you do not understand and resist the ways and strategies of the devil. Until you remind the devil and puts him in his right position. For example, a mistake of a teacher during an examination can cause a student who suppose to come first drop to third or last position.
Resisting Satanic activities is not a physical thing. However, they are strongholds within one's mind which prevents him or her from meeting or doing God's will as purported in his or her life. The mind operates in the spiritual realms and dabbles into matters that influence or possible control of alien spirits. Let us take the Word of God;
2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Apostle Paul explained, how the devil who is the god of this world has taken control of the minds of the unbelievers in Corinth and had placed them in the darkness that the light of the gospel of the Christ could not be seen. The mind is always the target of the devil. Therefore to resist the devil should be started in the mind. This is done by changing your way of thinking. By building up a new mindset. Renewing your mind so that you would not conform to this world. This, the Apostle called spiritual worship in the christian life. Hence resisting Satanic activity is spiritual and not physical warfare.

How Can We Then Resist Satanic Activities In Our Minds If Not Physical?
Ephesians 1:20-22
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Ephesians 2:5-6
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
The verses have stated clearly that we are seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places far above every dominion and name that is named. Hope you have not forgotten that Satan is a name, too.

2.Be conscious and remind Satan of his position: Satan is the father of lies and hence behind every lie even white lie. He would continue to play your mind and pretends his position is higher and better than yours, until you remind him of his right position. His right position pains and weakens his heart. It sounds awful to him and hence would not befriend you because he knows you are the type that reminds him of what he doesn't like to hear. His right is under feet as stated in the above verses. Just put him there!.
Again, remind him of how the Christ disarmed him of his powers and made him a public example in the market places. Break the snare of the devil by filling yourself up with the word of Grace, the finished work of the Christ.
Colossians 2:15
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Satan is like a dethroned king who keeps giving orders to others. Do not obey him because you are not his subjects. He is just acting as a warrior without authority who keeps recruiting mercenaries to fight an already lost battle.

3.Put on the amour of Christ: Dealing with the devil, you must know, is one war in which good luck does not exist, count or reflect. It is either you do fight or you are consumed by the devil. To prepare us before hand as Christians, He gave is the seven pieces of amour as explained by the Apostle to his friends in Ephesus.
Ephesians 6:12-17
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Beloved, you need to realize that Satan has NO rights, but won't admit. Therefore, I draw your ATTENTION to this statement in the above verse so that you know what is required of you;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
