A woman in my community had everything taken from her after her husband died. Some people decided to take advantage of her situation. They took what belonged to her and acted as if she had no right to complain. Some people are cruel, and you cannot always take them to court because they will use their money and influence to find a way around the law.
So, if I become invisible for one whole day, I will first visit people like that. I will not waste my time hiding in a corner or playing silly games. I will go straight to the people who think they can do anything they want just because nobody can challenge them.
I will come to the man’s house and call out his name. When he turns around, he will see nobody. He may look around and call out, asking who is there. I will stay quiet for a moment and let the fear enter his mind. Then I will speak in a deeper voice, sounding like a warning from somewhere he cannot see.
I will tell him to stop all his evil deeds and return what he took from the woman. I will also tell him to apologise to her and to all the other people he has hurt. He may try to act brave, but it is not easy to feel brave when a voice is speaking to you and there is nobody standing in front of you.
This strange experience might be enough to make him change his ways. Maybe he will finally understand what it feels like to be helpless while someone else controls your life. But if, for any reason, he remains stubborn and refuses to change, then I will have to use my invisible hands to beat the living hell out of him. I will make sure he remembers that day for a very long time.
Just think of being beaten without seeing who or what is beating you. You would run around looking for help, but nobody would understand what was happening. I know it sounds strange, but I believe this experience could make people like him think twice before hurting anyone again. If I had only one day to be invisible, I would use it to show cruel people that they are not as powerful as they think, because their actions have consequences, even when nobody speaks up.
