And so i have done about 4 posts without really introducing myself to the SteemIT clan. My name is Ifiok, I am from Nigeria and joined steemit in June. I am an online entrepreneur and i do some cryptocurrency trading. Those are my most innate interests! For some very strange reason, i just cannot get myself off the computer screen. I have always known that my pot of gold would be found right on this screen that i am typing from and i haven't been closer to that pot of gold than i am today. Let me tell you my story!
So my story begins from right after i left the university in 2007. I had a plan! My plan was to make money online! How i was going to do it? No idea! I just went straight to the internet and typed 'make money online in Nigeria'. I found tons of articles promising to make me loads of cash if only i 'bought' into their programs. I did! What did i get? Nothing! Money gone, no money made and so after many months of trying. I gave up... i found a job and worked for 6 years (for a company) before i remembered i had a dream about producing Income online.
So now 2013, I am doing a masters degree abroad and then i think back to when i had this idea of making a living online. I thought about it...and because i had time on my hands. I went back to searching for ways to make an income online. I found yet again more programs and articles promising me truck loads of cash for 20mins of work. Or promising me $500/day for clicking only my mouse. Oh well.... let's say i got curious and bought again! And again i made Zilch!
"What am i doing wrong?", "why can't i make any money online?" "This is not supposed to be hard work!" "The gurus say it is not hard work!" So i thought and thought!
This is 4years after those thoughts...
I made my first income online on the last day of December 2015! And it was only a few cents! But i was ecstatic! I had broken the jinx! And sure enough i had! The following year 2016, i was making a couple of dollars daily! Trust me! it was a dream come true...
Currently, I get a few hundreds of dollars weekly... I am not a guru! But i know this passive income from the internet is a reality. But let me tell you what the 'GURUS' won't tell you:
Let me tell you the only things the supposed gurus were correct about!
Alright! So that's my story and i am sticking to it!
I am ardent supporter of cryptocurrency, i won't be on steemit if i was't. But i do understand also the power of internet marketing to make your content go viral or let the right kind of people see your content.
