The idea that "we are all temporarily healthy" is a truly powerful message that makes one stop and think. I myself had back surgery years ago. Before the surgery, I played tennis very intensely and professionally. Suddenly, I experienced severe back pain that made it impossible to walk. As a last resort, I had to have surgery. I also believe that homes should be designed not only for today's needs but also with the future in mind. Even seemingly small details like step-free entrances, non-slip floors, good lighting, grab rails in bathrooms, and wide doors can make our lives easier. I think these kinds of changes should be made not only for disabled individuals or the elderly, but also for families with children and everyone experiencing temporary disabilities.
