So today, i had a wonderful Wednesday because i had the opportunity to stop by the University of Uyo (Uniuyo) to see a friend. Although i forgot to take pictures with my friend but the good thing is while walking out of the school premises, i saw beautiful artwork done by the students from the Department of Fine Art.
I was so much in love with the artwork around the school environment, and that motivated me to round the department, taking pictures of the different sculptures i came across.
The creativity of the student tells a unique story and reflects different aspects of our culture.
One thing about school is that it's a place where lives are transformed. No matter the gift, talent, or skill learning, it helps educate the mind and uncover the hidden potential of an individual. Education is one aspect of life that can't be underestimated, whether formal or informal.
Therefore, art is an important aspect of education that gives people the opportunity to express their culture, their language, their emotions, their creativity, and even their values, which makes it part of learning.
As i stood there taking pictures of the different sculptures, i had more insight and understanding on how art connects us with our culture and how it interprets our way of life.
Though it was just a walk through scenario but i had to reflect on the beauty of this creativity and how this art works are preserving our cultural heritage.
My Wednesday walk today was more educative and fun filled.
Thank you for stopping by my blog,
