Here's how to use OpenStreetMap to find parking spaces and transport services at European airports
Are you looking for a suitable parking space, a covered parking garage, or a convenient valet service at one of the airports in Germany or Europe? Would you prefer to drive your own car to the airport and park there? Driving to the airport without a pre-reserved parking spot isn’t the best idea, since terminal parking lots and parking garages are not only significantly more expensive but can also fill up quickly—especially during peak season and on holidays. We’ll show you all the parking options at every airport, as well as possible private parking alternatives. Using OpenStreetMap, you can find descriptions of all parking lots in the immediate vicinity of your chosen airport. Avoid the unnecessary stress of searching on Google Maps—all the information you need is right here on our blog, where it’s much faster and more convenient to find. The ParkPlacement team wishes you good luck finding a parking spot and a pleasant parking experience at the airport.
We were tired of always having to use Google to search for parking spots, where certain websites usually appear at the very top of the first search results page—above the organic results—or at the very bottom of the page. Google labels ads and sponsored websites in the search results to clearly distinguish them from organic (unpaid) search results. To be honest, this constant practice was driving us crazy.
We spent more time trying to distinguish between sponsored websites and actual parking lot operator websites than we did actually moving our projects and ideas forward. It felt like we needed a map to quickly access the business contact information for all parking lot operators. So, we created an AirportMap for ourselves and for you. We hope you’ll find our AirportMap just as useful as we do when searching for airport parking.
