Winter sunsets here in the northeast, can be visually amazing. However, it happens so quickly this time of year, if you get distracted for a few minutes you might just miss it. If you do brave the cold in time to see it, the results are most certainly well worth it!
I love how much more intense the different colors get as the sun sets lower in the sky, and the shadows of night deepen in the background.
I also enjoy how the trees bare of their leaves become silhouettes against the vivid shades of purple and blue as the sun becomes just a sliver on the horizon.
Now the darkness moves in as the earth continues its rotation and cycles towards a new day and new beginnings.
I hope you enjoyed some lovely examples of nature's artistry and beauty.
