They were all in a feeding frenzy this morning and I will show you a few birds and animals eating here.
It broke my heart to chase them away today, but we have a brick paving job to complete before the rain arrives. Rain water that runs down the walls outside penetrates the foundations that causes mold inside the house, so we are sealing the foundations off with brick paving.
Come and have a look at the animals.
Rain, what rain?
Well we will soon face a "temperate" wind of 70Kph a cold front and the wind was already starting to whistle through the trees.
Right, so on we go with the story, the reason why I opened with the Rock pigeon is that her name is "Chee-chee" due to the sound that she made when my wife fed her as a baby. She was rescued by us and look at her now, free and wild.
A Ringneck dove and a smaller Turtle dove together.
The blue patch on the Ringneck doves heads means that they are molting. Shedding their youth feathers to become dressed with new feathers as adults.
Right, enough of the birds, let's now have a look at the animals!
Of course like always, the squirrel kids were also around.
Hey, now what's this?
The two mouse teenagers also got into things.
Nothing like having company and we call them the naughty twins 🤣
And finally, just to show that the squirrels also ate their fill.
So, what do we do if we hear that there is a huge storm on it's way with rain for the next 3 days?
I for one start preparing my waterproof system for my walks outside with my camera. Cannot go near any tall trees in nature as they attract lightning bolts, so it is out and in the open.
Not good advice to eats mounds of food like the animals, as it is never a good thing for my waist line :)
