Here he was coming in to land and my neck was stiff waiting for him, as he was high up on a bare branch at a tree top in our garden.
Bang! He landed facing the famous South Easter wind here that they call the Cape Doctor, as it cleans everything in front of it. Trees, cars, trucks and even people have to rush for shelter.
The Dragonfly is called a Phantom Flutterer (Rhyothemis semihyalina), as he flutters in flight like a butterfly.

Should you Google the Cape of Storms, you will understand why I am talking about the wind's power here, and yet something as small as a dragonfly can cope with a wind that has sunk many ships.

Small to medium sized
Length up to 36mm; Wingspan attains 70mm.
This is a highly distinctive and recognisable species. It is unlikely to be confused with another dragonfly.
The sexes are alike.
