A water cannon, birds and flowers to please your eyes.
I am thinking of getting the smaller brother of this water cannon for our garden. Imagine laying on the grass on a very hot day with a nice cool shower every few seconds.
I think that I told you that this is a water cannon.
Some birds fly through that spray, but the birds were at a meeting and they were absent today.
Yay, I knew it was only a matter of time for me to get a female Cape Sugarbird and she is still a youngster.
A real lovely little thing as she looked up at the sky to check for raptor birds. Luckily the raptors were all away at a year end Christmas party.
A young Guinea Fowl greeted me here at one of the grape vineyards.
Now this I am told is the flower of a Magnolia tree.
It is said that the Magnolia tree is an ancient tree and it existed some 95 million years ago, before bees developed.
Magnolia is a large genus of about 210 flowering plant species in the subfamily Magnolioideae of the family Magnoliaceae. It is named after French botanist Pierre Magnol. Magnolia is an ancient genus. Appearing before bees evolved, the flowers are theorized to have evolved to encourage pollination by beetles. Source
And finally this is a beautiful Hibiscus flower.
Amazing when one walks around with a camera to take shots left right and center and then to discover facts about the contents of some photos at home.
For instance that Magnolia tree existed 95 million years ago. A mind blowing number of years ago and my greatest of great grandfathers was not even invented yet.
I would love to have a chat with my greatest of great grandfather to find out what he did wrong. One half of me is the right side of my father and the half of me is the right side of my mother. Somebody forgot to give me a left side and the doctors term the condition ambidextrous.
I went to a dance class and the tutor said, put your left foot forward. I put both feet forward with an instantaneous little hop. Needless to say that after several attempts, I was "humbly" asked to rather leave.
There was also another very embarrassing event at that dance class that I would rather not disclose here.
At least I hope that I have gathered some smiles.
And That's All Friends!
