Not to worry, as nobody was drowning, and I just thought that this was a great action photo.
The legs sticking up belong to a youngster on a board and he was in a trough between the waves.
We had to go and get a part near the beach, and then we popped down to get some ocean photos. But as usual, it was not as expected as some big gala was on the go. But I don't want to give the game away, as you will see the action down below. All that I can say is that we were pleasantly surprised to see the event. From a distance of course.
I parked our car, and my idea was to take a photo to show you the beach at this time of the year. Then I noticed a group of tents right on the beach and I knew that something was going on.
So, we drove around to the other side in order to get a better view of the tents on the beach. I couldn't quite initially tell what it was, but it turned out to be a big event of some kind. A voice could be faintly heard on a megaphone telling the 9-10 year old squads to line up.
Two lines of young body-boarders lined up and the idea was that it would be a relay race. The first line would go first, and they had to pass some yellow marking boyos in the sea. Upon their return, they would have to run to their partners in the second line on the beach and tap them to take off.
In the meantime, before the start of the race, the guy on the jetski, came in to collect a passenger with a radio.
There you can see the jetski guy and his passenger patrolling the racing area, to keep an eye on the safety of the children.
In case of an emergency, a surf rescue team was also on stand-by. Fortunately there were no mishaps, and it was wonderful to see how the clubs care for the safety of the kids.
All heels and legs as they sunk into a wave trough.
And the sudden reappearance as they rise up onto the next wave.
Look how happy the leader was to pass the first red flag.

That is all that we could get on it. LiveHeats is a sporting management company. Hopefully, many of these youngsters will become professional lifesavers one day. The event was very well organized, and it was a pleasure for us to watch the action.
