Oh yea, no jokes as the cold front's arrival spoilt our lunch time.
So, I popped out to get some shots, but not for too long, as the cold created the pain in my damaged left inner ear. I normally wear a cotton ear plug, but not on this occasion, as I forgot to make one. Believe me when I say that it is not a pleasure to be out with a painful and throbbing ear. But I digress as I want to show you some delightful shots of a cold sky. I presume that you have also had the experience of seeing the mist on your breath.
And now, of course, the rain will come to wet everything, which makes things even colder. They are talking about snow in the other provinces, and we simply cannot wait for Spring anymore. I think the birds have also put their nest building on hold, as I have my eye on some of their nests in the wild, and there is no action. I have a feeling that we have also put our lives on hold until this period has expired.

As usual the pied crows were up playing in the cold wind, and no other birds could be seen, as they must have taken refuge in their apartments with their heaters on full blast :)
And that's it, I hope some of our European friends that live in the current heatwaves could find some relief in this post's photos.
Two of the Papillon's volunteer board members are in Greece now on holiday and they keep on sending us photos of the areas that they visit, and of course they also don't find the heat pleasant there, even though they are used to the African sun. It's just the way we are as people, as we are comfortable at home and uncomfortable when we leave our power base. But to get back to the cold, my wife's parents live far up north in the country, and they let us know that they will also have the cold tomorrow.
Such is life.
