I was invited to open a meeting to amalgamate the leading forces in our communities in the fight against crime.
The photos that I took before the meeting reminded me of a launch as I watched some birds in flight. It may have been a good sign.
Our country is ravaged by crime and if you have a look at the South African crime statistics, you will fall on your back. Murder and mayhem are at play every day and I have heard it said that every hour 3 people are killed. Not my normal good news, but we are now combining forces to do what we can to keep the communities in our area safe. The churches are the logical place to start, as if everyone shares their crime fighting experiences, a united force of all can start to make a huge and directed difference.
Just a quick snapshot of the meeting, as for security reasons we don't want anyone to be identified.
So let me rather stick to the bird photos that I took earlier.
A pair of Pied Crows also came over high up.
A closer look told me that they were racing pigeons out on a training flight.
Lovely to see how the sun shone through the crows wings.
And finally the birds left and I was called to open the meeting.
A good thing about the meeting is that the local police force called for the meeting and the title was; Spiritual Crime Prevention stating that the fight is between spiritual powers and principalities. We have a great hope that this new force will gather strength and the shared experiences of the police and the spiritual leaders can result in more focused and directed counter defenses.
Life is not easy here and all of us are at risk, so the time has come to stop talking and starting to do.
The women and children are defenseless and easy prey for the organized criminals, but it is known that they have leaders and if the snake's head is crushed, then the body will start falling apart.
We can only hope and pray that some solutions will emerge from the gathering of this new force, as it is in everyone's interested.
A Luta Continua.
And That is All Friends.
