I think it's really important for him to develop an appreciation for the classics before he gets lost in the new stuff. Waiting on the day that there is an history of video games course that I can teach

I totally see your point. Ocarina is one of my favorite games of all time and I still go back once every few years and run a play through. I like to run those games to completion without google for the

Yea, I think times have changed in the age of apps and the desire for instant gratification where no one has the time to sit and grind out a game for hour and hours and potentially not make any real progress.
