Solo Leveling (S2): Between Power and Shadows (🇪🇸 | 🇺🇸)

  Saludos mis queridos Otakus de @theanimerealm. No me aguanté y ya me vi la segunda temporada de Solo Leveling. Y ¿cómo no hacer una reseña luego de verla? Gracias a Dios ya había terminado porque la verdad es que de estar en emisión no hubiera podido aguantarme las ganas entre capítulo y capítulo. Advierto que este post puede contener algo de Spoiler. Así que empiezo.

  Esta temporada en comparación con la anterior, para mí tuvo mucho con demasiado. Es decir, fue acción y drama desde el inicio hasta el final en cada capítulo, además que agregaron personajes que al final no los desarrollaron tanto, lo que me da a entender que vendrán muchas temporadas más y hay bastante tela que cortar.

  En mi Post Anterior les comenté que la historia me resultó algo lenta, además de extraña por lo de la "otra dimensión", de dejar algunos huecos que por lo que pude notar en los comentarios que me dejaron, disgustó a unos cuantos fanáticos. Yo por mi parte y contra todo pronóstico, en cierto punto disfruté la primera temporada.

  Sin embargo, en esta segunda parte, mis emociones estuvieron a flor de piel desde el inicio. Esto porque seguía con mis dudas de que el protagonista quisiera optar por Subir de Nivel sacrificando a los demás sin pensarlo tanto ya que es lo que me dieron a entender con el inicio de la serie del 2024.

  Y aunque me llevé varias sorpresas con muertes inesperadas, Jinwoo, en definitiva me resultó un personaje complicado para descifrarlo. No tengo idea de qué hará, cómo lo hará ni cuándo lo hará, lo único que sé es que ganará en cada pelea con algún monstro que tenga, eso es seguro, sin importar lo poderoso que el enemigo sea, él lo derrotará.

  Y aunque hubo más cosas que me gustaron en esta temporada, debo resaltar las que no para luego plasmar algunas hipótesis que tengo de lo que sucederá o lo que tengo de sospechas para continuación de la serie. Ahora bien, una de las cosas que no me agradó mucho es la poca participación de personajes secundarios que son bastante relevantes en la historia, como el padre de Jinwoo, sólo apareció en 2 capítulos sin nada que decir ni explicar, sólo indicando que es el papá de su hijo y ya.

  ¿Qué significan esos "errores" que se presentan mientras Jinwoo está dentro de una mazmorra? Estos detalles presentados en ciertos capítulos me recuerdan mucho a la película de The Matrix, llevándola a una versión animé de manera super extraña e incoherente, porque no explican nada y esto a la larga, cuando se tardan mucho en hacerlo, tiende a molestar, al menos en mi caso.

  La verdad es que esperaba más desarrollo y participación o apariciones de los otros Cazadores que sólo ver a Jinwoo ganando con ventaja de sobra, como si fuera un Dios que puede hacer todo lo que le venga en gana sólo porque sí. Si bien es cierto, la vida no ha sido injusta sólo para él, hay otros personajes que se la han visto mal allí, entonces ¿qué lo hace a él tan especial?

  Lo otro que me molestó muchísimo y de hecho insulté a Jinwoo ya finalizando la segunda temporada al ver de lo que era capaz de hacer y no hizo, lo que me sigue inspirando a cuestionar a este personaje una y otra vez, ¿será el villano o será el héroe? ¿Y qué si es el villano? A muchos nos encantó Death Note porque contó la historia bajo la perspectiva del malo, pero ¿por qué en esta serie no terminan de aclarar para qué bando trabaja el protagonista? Esto de verdad me va a los nervios.

  Ahora, en cuanto a las hipótesis que tengo desde la primera temporada son las siguientes: Me parece que Jinwoo está atrapado en otra dimensión que en este caso sería la realidad real o donde se encuentra el diseñador del famoso sistema en el cual él está jugando. Y mientras más tiempo pase subiendo de nivel y ganando experiencia, su cuerpo está siendo drenado, por lo que a la final no creo que tenga buenas opciones ni salga victorioso en ese aspecto.

  O tal vez su cuerpo está vagando en lo que nosotros llamamos El Limbo que según el desarrollo de la historia en esta serie, para ellos vendría a ser el plano del Sistema, no lo sé. Pero es que Jinwoo físicamente cambió tanto que su cuerpo debilucho, insisto debe estar en alguna parte alterna pasando factura por todo ese poder mágico que está usando.

  Por mi parte quisiera saber también ¿qué pasó en esa mazmorra donde Jinwoo obtuvo sus poderes? ¿Por qué lo eligieron? ¿Qué le pasó a su papá? ¿Quiénes eran esos dos personajes que salieron al final? ¿Que se esconde entre el universo de las mazmorras y el que nos están haciendo creer que es real? Para mí, hay 3 secciones donde una está siendo omitida por completo y es el mundo del sistema, donde se controlan ambos mundos: el que supuestamente es la realidad y el de las mazmorras. Por ahora sólo me resta esperar a que salga el animé, porque no soy de las que leen el manga. De mi parte le otorgo a esta primera parte sus bien merecidas:

  This season compared to the previous one, for me, it had a lot with too much. That is, it was action and drama from the beginning to the end in each chapter, plus they added characters that in the end they did not develop so much, which gives me to understand that there will be many more seasons to come and there is a lot to cut.

  In my Previous Post I told you that I found the story a bit slow, as well as strange because of the “other dimension”, leaving some gaps that, from what I could notice in the comments I received, upset a few fans. I, for my part and against all odds, at a certain point I enjoyed the first season.

  However, in this second part, my emotions were running high from the beginning. This is because I still had my doubts that the protagonist would want to choose to Level Up by sacrificing others without thinking so much about it since that is what I was given to understand with the beginning of the 2024 series.

  And although I got several surprises with unexpected deaths, Jinwoo, in short, I found him a complicated character to decipher. I have no idea what he will do, how he will do it, or when he will do it; the only thing I know is that he will win in every fight with some monster he has, that's for sure. No matter how powerful the enemy is, he will defeat him.

  And although there were more things that I liked in this season, I must highlight the things that I didn't like and then express some hypotheses that I have about what will happen or what I suspect for the continuation of the series. Now, one of the things that I didn't like is the little participation of secondary characters that are quite relevant in the story, like Jinwoo's father, he only appeared in 2 chapters without anything to say or explain, just indicating that he is the father of his son and that's it.

  What do those “mistakes” that are presented while Jinwoo is inside a dungeon mean? These details presented in certain chapters remind me a lot of The Matrix movie, taking it to an anime version in a super strange and incoherent way, because they don't explain anything and this in the long run, when they take too long to do it, tends to annoy, at least in my case.

  The truth is, I was expecting more development and participation or appearances from the other Hunters than just seeing Jinwoo winning with an advantage to spare, like he's a God who can do whatever he wants just because. While it's true that life hasn't been unfair to him alone, other characters have had it bad out there, so what makes him so special?

  The other thing that bothered me a lot and I insulted Jinwoo already at the end of the second season when I saw what he was capable of doing and didn't do, which keeps inspiring me to question this character over and over again, will he be the villain or will he be the hero? So what if he is the villain? Many of us loved Death Note because it told the story from the bad guy's perspective, but why in this series don't they end up clarifying which side the main character works for? This gets on my nerves.

  Now, the hypotheses I have from the first season are as follows: It seems to me that Jinwoo is trapped in another dimension, which in this case would be the real reality or where the designer of the famous system in which he is playing is located. And the more time he spends leveling up and gaining experience, his body is being drained, so in the end, I don't think he will have good options or come out victorious in that aspect.

  Or maybe his body is wandering in what we call Limbo which according to the development of the story in this series, for them would come to be the System plane. I don't know. But is that Jinwoo physically changed so much that his weakened body, I insist, must be somewhere alternate taking its toll from all that magic power he's using?

  For my part, I would also like to know what happened in that dungeon where Jinwoo got his powers. Why was he chosen? What happened to his dad? Who were those two characters that came out at the end? What is hidden between the dungeon universe and the one we are being led to believe is real? For me, there are 3 sections where one is being completely omitted, and that is the system world, where both worlds are controlled: the one that is supposed to be reality and the one of the dungeons. For now, I can only wait for the anime to come out because I'm not one to read the manga. For my part, I give this first part its well deserved:
