Panda's Picks for week 20

I'm back with my picks from the Vibes Music Competition. There are so many entries already and since this session runs for almost 3 weeks I'm sure there will be an insane number of entries - but I'll do my best and hopefully feature some more winners

This entry from Hive account@eyesbk222 was the first entry I opened this week and it brought a floodgate of memories to me. I loved the late Lionel Peterson . He died on July 14, 2022 (age 74 years). This is my current age - I turned 74 in August. I looked back on his history and saw that he sang the song Jabulani Africa which is a song written by the icon PJ Powers.

How incredible to learn that my daughter Hive account@edenmichelle had dinner with PJ Powers this week.

PJ is 64 years old and still looks so young and vibrant - not sure what her secret is.

Next on my radar is the much loved and popular Hive account@obaro. He has been an amazing ambassador for Vibes and onboarded many fellow musicians.

In his own words "I'm a pianist, drummer, guitarist, vocalist and a music coach.
A chemist, and a music addict that loves to explore and get more better at what he does." and he lives true to this.

His entry this week is an original song that he wrote called My Testimony The lyrics are really beautiful and it's a true testimony of a talented musician.

To the best of my knowledge @Obaro graduated last Friday with a Bsc Chemistry. So congratulations from all of us.

Once again, the newcomers are really good and I need to mention Hive account@ellacentric again who has such a lovely voice to listen to.

We have Hive account@esongs doing a beautiful cover of an old hymn "How sweet the name of Jesus sounds" - and he has a lovely sound to his voice.

In closing I'd like to mention Hive account@lizelle who so kindly hosted Eden when she was in SAfrica to meet the team of East Coast Radio KZN.
