Every temptation is an opportunity to do good.
on the path to spiritual maturity, each temptation becomes a stepping stone rather than a stumbling block if you realize it is an occasion to do the right thing to do the wrong thing. Temptation simply provides the choice. Although temptation is the main weapon Satan will use to destroy it, God wants to use it to form it. Every time you choose to do good instead of sinning, you are growing in the character of Christ.

to understand this, you first have to identify the character qualities of Jesus. One of the most concise descriptions of the character of Jesus is the fruit of the spirit: "When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in US: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, kindness, fidelity, meekness and self-control." Galatas 5:22-23

These nine qualities are an expansion of the great commandment and present a beautiful description of Jesus Christ.!
Jesus is perfect love, joy, peace, patience and the rest of the fruit, embodied in one person. To possess the fruit of the Spirit is to be Christ-like.

How, then, does the Holy Spirit produce these nine qualities of his fruit in his life? Do you create them instantly? Do you wake up one day and suddenly you are full of these already fully developed features?

No. The fruit always ripens and reaches its point slowly.

God develops the fruit of the Spirit in your life by allowing you to experience circumstances in which you are tempted to express exactly the opposite quality! Character formation always involves a choice and temptation provides that opportunity.

For example, God teaches us to love by placing difficult people around us around us. It does not take any character to love people who are easy to love and who love you. God teaches us true joy in the midst of sadness, when we turn to Him. Happiness depends on external circumstances but joy is based on your relationship with God.

God develops true peace within us, not by making things turn out as we planned them but by allowing times of chaos and confusion. Anyone can feel peace when he sees a beautiful sunset or when he relaxes while on vacation. We learn true peace if we choose to trust in God when we are in circumstances that tempt us to worry or feel fear. So also patience is developed in circumstances in which we are forced to wait and are tempted to get angry or explode.

God uses the opposite situation of each characteristic of the fruit to allow us a choice. You can not affirm that it is good if you have never been tempted to be bad. You can not claim to be faithful if you have never had the opportunity to be unfaithful. Integrity is built when the temptation of not being honest expires; humility grows when we refuse to be proud; and perseverance develops every time you reject the temptation to give up. Each time he defeats temptation, he becomes more like Jesus!
