A month ago I decided to play a melodic instrument because I needed to sound louder than the ukulele.
This -together with my current obsesion of blowing into every hole I find- finally resulted in a #Quena finding my avid desire of learning to play her.
Quena is a flute from the Andes cultures (Bamboo, open ends).
There is a folk song from this native people, that underlines these words:
500 years resisting
500 years of courage
Always keeping
The essence.
It is the essence
And it's the seed
And it will be forever
Inside us
Life is made with the sun
And in Pachamama it blooms.
I don't sing it, just play the melody. It's my first melody on this Quena!

Hace un mes decidí tocar un instrumento melódico porque necesitaba sonar más fuerte que el ukelele.
Esto, con mi obsesión actual de soplar en cada hoyo que encuentro, finalmente resultó en una #quena encontrando mi ávido deseo de aprender a interpretarla.
La Quena es una flauta de las culturas de los Andes (bambú, extremos abiertos).
Hay una canción popular de sua pueblos nativos, que subraya estas palabras:
5 siglos resistiendo
5 siglos de coraje
Manteniendo siempre
La escencia.
Es escencia
Y es semilla
Y estará dentro nuestro
Por siempre.
Se hace vida con el sol
Y en la Pachamama florece.
No lo canto, solo taño la melodía. ¡Es mi primera melodía en esta quena!
