The mission:
Our planet has been attacked and we barely managed to escape from the aliens.
Yet, you were lucky. The first wave of alien attacks didn't target the remote space station that your Baldie Shuttle was docked at. Even better, the Colombus made it out of the onslaught alive as well. With their own destination just outside of your hyperdrive's reach, they transmitted coordinates of an unexplored star system within your engine's range
We need to survive until the Columbus can rescue us, and we have three options:
- An oceanic planet with breathable air and some islands in it (which seems too good to be true) also a good temperature 30潞 than can be dangerous because atmospheric unstability and other issues related with the climate of it (hurricanes, tidals, tropical or sub tropical diseases)
- A Moon: With signals of past alien activity, but of course no food nor any kind of life support so we will need to carry with us all the material needed to be able to survive.
- A Meteorite: With tunnels in it, no gravity that has at least a stable orbit, the only good thing in it apart of being the last place where the aliens would try to search you.
My choice is the moon, will be tough for sure but less risky than the meteorite, and maybe more paceful and less evident than the planet (I'm assuming that the planet will have severe drawbacks to compensate that doesn't need any kind of life support)
We need to survive there 90 days so my build is focused mainly in that, survive assuming the fewer risks I can.
My build :
Our ship and its equipment:
First the Origin, set and officers.
The Ark Scientist boosts science for the Research Officer and planetary of the Exploration Officer, all them are equipped with an Eisen suit, the target of the expedition will be those ruins and we will try to explore the moon at night when cold allows it.
Ayumi is a good choice for that because blades don't get out of ammo, and she is though enough to deal with some problems by herself.
All of them will have their extra ammo, in case of need.
The equipment set, Rare plants could be one of our sources of food, with some research could also serve for other purpouses.
Crew:
The maintenance droid is one less human aboard so less food and less space are required, sure isn't an outstanding card but serves perfectly for what we're looking for.
The hacker can install the Planetscan program in the Eisen suits and work in some proyects that can be helpful in order to obtain resources. The universal fixer suit will grant him a bonus in mechanics that will be very handy too, also is scrappable which is awesome.
Cargo:
The priorities here imo are energy and life support (water included), my initial idea was to include a Preservation Dome for the plants but I think that is way safer to not depend exclusively from the reward table of this card, so I decided to include a Foodie Moodie and try to build a space for those plants later on.
Passenger:
I only included one passenger slot to keep a balanced number of needs/resources.
Escorts:
Cruiser Task force
4x System Garrison
That's all eXoders!, good luck to all the participants, and congrats for the team for this great idea. I think that we will discover many colonization aspects thanks to this challenge. 馃槃
