In the previous post I talked about the new proyect of digital currency that EU, USA and Japan announced this week, this seemed a response to China's announcement some months before. Today Russia has announced their own coin the digital Ruble.
Can we expect more countries joining to this trend?, I believe it so, when Venezuela tried to implement their coin the "Petro" was mostly a political campaign, not a real or serious intent to improve the economy of this country and wasn't definitely a good example for the rest of the countries, but something must be there when all the biggest economies in the world are looking for it, right?.
For most of the people crypto is still a scam itself, the technology behind it is seen as highly speculative and not trustworsthy. RT's article about this issue talks about the perceived risks of crypto.
"As the institution explains, the digital ruble "has nothing to do" with cryptocurrencies, which do not have a single issuer, nor do they have guarantees of the protection of consumer rights, while its value is subject to serious fluctuations. Furthermore, in most countries, cryptocurrencies cannot be used to pay for goods and services and, as a rule, they do not have a single institution that guarantees the safety of such funds."

These new "digital currencies" the term used for this kind of institutional crypto is a way to evade that perception of the citizens. Most of the countries and central banks have been reluctant to this new technology and this kind of speech clearly expresses the concerns of the nations about crypto in general.
You can call it whatever you want but if it has feathers, kuaks and is swimming half of the day, probably we're talking about a duck. An institutional crypto will move masses to the actual crypto as the perception of this technology will change with the time.
See you soon buddies and have your wallets prepared for what is to come!.
