En el campo se usaba mucho la frase "anda el grano", y actualmente en Argentina la usamos en algunas ocasiones. Tiene que ver con dejar de dar tantas vueltas y hacer lo que hay que hacer. Simplemente, hacelo.

Porque en ocasiones y es algo que a mí me pasa particularmente hablamos o escribimos mucho sin decir absolutamente nada. Y si algo no quiero cambiar es mi forma de ser. Pero entiendo que, en la inmediatez cotidiana que vivimos, nuestros textos tendrían que tender a simplificarse un poco e ir al grano.

Esta primera reflexión fue inspirada en el feed de @samgiset, que cada vez que me encuentro con una de sus publicaciones, entro a leerla porque sé que va a ser simple, concisa y precisa. Creo que a la mayoría nos gustan las publicaciones simples, pero cuando tenemos que escribirlas, se nos olvida. A mí me pasa constantemente. Es más, esta introducción es prácticamente una publicación en sí misma 🤣.

In the countryside, people used to say "anda el grano" ("go straight to the grain/point"), and here in Argentina we still use it sometimes. It's about cutting the detours and just doing what needs to get done. Just do it.
Because sometimes — and this happens to me a lot — we talk or write a ton without really saying anything. And if there's one thing I don't want to change, it's who I am. But I get it: in the fast-paced, everyday life we live, our writing should probably lean toward being simpler and more to the point.
This first reflection was inspired by @samgiset's feed — every time I come across one of their posts, I click in, because I know it'll be simple, concise, and precise. I think most of us love simple posts, but when it's our turn to write one, we forget. It happens to me all the time. Honestly, this intro is basically a post of its own 🤣.

      Ahora, ¿por qué el título de mi miniatura se pregunta "de dónde soy"? Existe una cargada muy cotidiana que nos hacen a los fanáticos de River Plate, ya que decimos que somos de Núñez, pero en realidad pareciera que somos del barrio de Belgrano.

Y haciéndome la misma pregunta sobre mi vida particular, reflexiono sobre de dónde somos exactamente. ¿Del lugar donde nacimos? ¿De ese lugar pintoresco donde estuviste por un tiempo y te enamoraste? ¿O de donde resides actualmente?

Facundo Cabral tiene una hermosa canción que les voy a compartir al final de esta publicación, donde habla y reflexiona sobre estas cuestiones.

Now, why does my thumbnail title ask "where are you from"? There's a classic joke people make about us River Plate fans — we say we're from Núñez, but it actually looks like we're from the Belgrano neighborhood.
And asking myself that same question about my own life, I find myself reflecting on where we're really from. Is it the place we were born? That charming place where you spent some time and fell in love with it? Or is it wherever you currently live?

      Particularmente, pienso que por cuestiones del universo, en esta etapa de nuestra vida o mejor dicho, de nuestra eternidad, me tocó nacer en la ciudad de Goya, Corrientes, y luego venirme a la gran ciudad, específicamente a la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Argentina, y concluir, por ahora, en la ciudad de Ezeiza, de la cual estoy muy enamorado.

I personally believe that, for reasons the universe decides, in this stage of our life — or rather, of our eternity — I was destined to be born in the city of Goya, Corrientes, and later move to the big city, specifically Buenos Aires, the federal capital of Argentina, and land, for now, in the city of Ezeiza, which I've fallen completely in love with.
What would I choose? Honestly, I don't know. Because sometimes I miss walking along the riverside paths that line the Paraná River in my hometown, but I also love exploring the small towns scattered across Buenos Aires province.

That's why I feel we're not from anywhere in particular — we're simply wherever we happen to be right now. Remembering the past is wonderful, but I don't think we should tie ourselves down to our own stories. Instead, we should always be looking to explore and discover the endless wonders our universe has to offer.
