Steem/Steemit is nothing but an experiment. Dan Larimer messed around with a few concepts he thought at that moment would work well, and then stupid people like @nextgencrypto aka @berniesanders jumped in and started hyping this completely immature project and started selling it as a "facebook killer" which of course it isn't. It's just a very crude digital "copy" of a society based on American "values", which is all about:

• law of the jungle
• power
• money
• harassment
• violence

So in fact Steem/Steemit is one giant rabbithole and many people got caught in it.

You should look at it as have being part in an interesting historical experiment.
Nothing more, but also nothing less.
