I am brainstorming on a Steemit alternative that would be @berniesanders and @themarkymark proof. As you say, this Steemit thing is conceptualized as an experiment.

But its flaws are also its strenghts. It shows you everything what can go wrong in a SM platform and you can also deduct what kind of things should be incorporated in a good blog/forum/SM.

I think I even found the solution to the free speech "problem". And I have also found how blockchain tech can be used to guarantee this.

I also learned that you should be able to react to a blog post in a diverse variety of ways. Not just black and white up or down, like dislike.

On facebook you can now use 5 emoji's in stead of just 'like'. I think there should be some 5-10 ways of qualifying content.

• copy paste
• the blog does not paint the whole picture
• some parts are false
• some essential parts are missing

and all of this should be linked to a big blockchain database where you can refer to when argumenting about sources

this would be ideal for controversial issues like religion and politics, media manipulation etc.

Just point to the text picture sound or video file in the blockchain archive and you can expose or counter anyone who wants to spin facts or who is being ignorant or hiding stuff behind :-)
