El partido iba camino del empate, cuando en un córner al 81’ Cristiano se elevó a los cielos de Old Trafford dentro del área enemiga para rematar el centro de Telles ante la presión de Doherty que terminó viendo visiones en esa jugada; Ronaldo sellaba su primer Hat-trick en esta segunda etapa en Old Trafford y da licencia al United para seguir soñando con una nueva temporada de Champions.
