Today I want to share with you a very beautiful garden plant known as yellow shrimp or as its scientific name Pachystachys lutea which I was able to photograph when I went to the Jardin Botanico in Medellin Colombia.
This plant belongs to the acanthaceae family with stems from 90 to 120 cm high. Its flowers are white and although they tend to confuse the flower with its yellow bracts.
This plant is of ornamental use and helps in the production of honey. Its fruit is just a simple capsule.
