Let's talk about the agbero's here in Nigeria. Here in my country this Agbero's boys move from one bus stop to another to make sure that the drivers make their payment from morning till night.
Some of them claim to work under the Road Transport Employers Association Of Nigeria. I use to see some of them with uniform and long stick, we call them agbero here in Nigeria because of their characters. And here in my country If someone called you agbero that means you are behaving like a street person lol.
Let me tell you guys how this Agbero's Gus use to behave.from bus stop to bus stop no vehicle passes without giving them money, if you try to speed up they will use their long big stick to hot your bus, sometimes they spoil something on your bus or they hit the stick on the side mirror hmmm that's double problem. All they know is to make sure that they spoil something on your bus, since you dont want to give them the money.
Sometimes I see them exchanging words with the drivers or the conductors, smile the conductors mouth are not good on their own,one of them say shebi you they form steet boy,I go run you street now and you go no say e dey happen 馃槀. Well all of them are the same,they don't here word both the agbero's and the conductors, instead of them to give them that money that time they will prefer to banter words with them. Then you will know that men can talk 馃槅.
As I went to the market from mile 2 to 8yanoba you will meet agbero's like six set on the road, and as you are seeing them that's how the conductors will be giving them their 200 per set or more than that, I don't know the exact money they give them.
One afternoon as I was coming back from market so I entered a bus with other passengers so we heard a loud sound on our vehicle I quickly looked up I don't know that this strrt boys hit the big stick because the conductor refused to give them money luckily to us nothing spoil in the bus.
This area boys are really fastoo the way they run and move quickly between vehicles, they ensure that money changes without delay.
The money they collect seems to look small but the impact is far reaching, I know that each state in Nigeria has Agbero's who collect money from drivers but I can tell you for free that Lagos State own worse pass the area boys are very mean.
Transportation is already costly in Nigeria, Adding other bills from bus stop to another increase the burdenon hardworking citizen who tries their best to earn a living.
