Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 馃
I have had millions of outfits betray me, and I am so confused about which particular one to write about. So, there was this particular day I woke up bright and early as usual and ready to tackle the day and those 7 am annoying meetings in my office. I usually pick out all my outfits for the week during the weekend to avoid stories that touch the heart, but for some reason on this day I decided to switch things up and rock a black skirt I had not worn for a long time. I wanted to look hot and different (I was always putting on trousers), just like those scenes in the movies where Regina Hall or Taraji P. Henson walks into the building and all the guys are turning their heads towards their direction with their eyes widening in admiration and their jaws dropping because they are not used to seeing them dressed so elegantly, hot, and different. Lol!
After I finished dressing up, I hurried and stepped out to get a bike. The moment I raised my leg to claim the bike, I heard a "praa" sound. It was from my skirt ripping up. My eyes widened in shock, but there was no way I could go back to the house because I had already walked a little distance from the house before I got the bike. So I pleaded with the bike man if he could stop by a tailoring shop I have noticed is always open (I think those guys usually sleep there) whenever I am on my way to the office so I could get it fixed.
But he said no without feeling any remorse towards me and kept complaining about how he didn't send me to wear a tight skirt and all that. Well, I didn't answer him because I guess he must have had a bad night with his wife and was looking for someone to pour all his frustrations on. After all the many times my clothes had disappointed me, I usually went out with a trusty black veil in my bag鈥攎y go-to emergency outfit savior. So I wasn't bored about the bike man. I checked my handbag for it, but it wasn't there; it was in my other handbag i left at home. That was how I dropped from the bike and walked into the office.
Guess what? All my dreams came true. I did make an entrance. All eyes were on me, but only that this time around they were not drooling; they were staring at me in shock and probably embarrassment while I was trying to look cool and confident outside but dying internally of shame.
Well, I didn't stay like that the whole day. I sent one of the cleaners to get me a thread and needle, which she took, like, forever to do, but she finally got back after a long wait.
In conclusion, always be careful of what you wish for because it might come back in a way you least expected.
