It was sure an epic response from Leicester City to Southampton yesterday in the English premier league as the club thrashed, disgraced, embarrassed their host by 9 goals to nil in front of Southampton fans and that makes Foxes to became the first club to recorded a massive win away from home and also becoming the second club to do that after Manchester defeated Ipswich Town in 1995. Leicester after the game took their points to 20 points which also see them moving to the second position on the log table behind Liverpool with other clubs battling for the top 4 yet to play their game. The team is now looking desperate in the league under their new manager and look like they are going to challenge the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal for the title and probably a place in the champions league next season.

After finishing on the number nine spot last season with 15 wins, 7 draws and 16 loss, the club has now stepped up their play and look like they are not going to settle for less this season despite the fact that the game is just in it's week 10 with 28 matches to go, the club has show some brilliant display since the start of this season, although they had a slow start in the league after a disappointing draw in their opening game to Wolvehampton and a narrow escape against Chelsea in the week 2 when Nigeria player Ndidi rescue a point for them, they finally find their feet when the visit Sheffield United with a 2-1 win. There first home win came when they hosted Bournemouth in a 3-1 scoreline where Vardy bag a brace and Tielemans was also on target as well.

The team has a way of responding to their downfall after they lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford, they actually bounce back when they defeated Tottenham and a whitewash scoreline against Newcastle United when Hayden was sent off in the game and the Foxes took their advantage rightly by out scoring Newcastle 5 goals to nil. The scoreline against league leader in the week 8 at Anfield is what we can actually use to describe what they are made of despite loosing the game 2-1 controversially, they play with great intense and show Liverpool in the game while they can also fight for the title. Without much stress, it was another impressive performance from the side yesterday when they visited Southampton at home.

The win actually comes at the right time for the club in honour of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four people who lost their life in an helicopter crash, the game begins and both clubs were trying to play according to their manager game plan but it was Leicester that got it right in just 10 minutes of the game through Chilwell before Bertrand was sent off for a poor tackle on Perez and that seems like where the problem begins for Southampton as Leicester went on to score 5 goals before the half time. Tielemans doubled the lead for the Foxes in the 17 minutes and 2 minutes later, Perez made it 3 goals lead and a brace in the 39 before Vardy finally get himself on the scoresheet. The club are now 1 point ahead of the season they won the league after playing there 10th game.

The second half resume and both Perez and Vardy stunned Southampton again in the 57 and 58 minutes respectively despite Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl trying to avoid the score getting worst with the introduction of Danso and Stephens in the beginning of the second half but that is not enough to stop Leicester to hit 9 goals, Vardy who is very desperate to get his first hat-trick in 3 years won himself a penalty kick in the additional minutes after Maddison has power in a brilliant free kick. Both Perez and Vardy bag an hat-trick goal in the game as Southampton run without winning a game at home extended to 7 games since April and with what their next two fixtures look like now, they will be playing against Manchester City in the Carabao next and again in the premier league while Leicester have all the chance to continue with their impressive run as they will be playing against Burton in EFL cup before visiting Crystal Palace at home.
