Going through the most Inspiring and motivational book(THE BIBLE)that God ever gave to man today, I stumbled into something very striking and I felt I should talk about it right now before we move into 2018.
Lets get to it right away.

Are You Prepared

I went over to the book of Mathew the 25th chapter and read through.
If you study the Bible very well, then you must have read the story of the wise and foolish virgins several a time.
Looking critically at the story of the 10 virgins, 5 were wise and 5 were foolish.
Of course, they were waiting for the arrival of the bridegroom.
The bridegroom is usually the man during any wedding and so I interpreted it to being Jesus Christ.
As you can see from everyday life, there are very wise christians and there are foolish.......
Jesus is our bridegroom.
I read that the wise virgins came with a lot of oil to keep their lamps burning while the foolish ones did other wise.
They displayed an attitude which I describe as I DON'T CARE.
They were obviously not prepared.
From Verse 6, It the Bible Says;

And Midnight, there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.

However, because the foolish ones weren't prepared, they said;

Mathew 25 verses 8
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us odf your oil, for our lamps have gone out.

What I understand from the reply of the wise ones is that they are not only wise, they were also very smart.
They, of course, knew there will be a possibility that the foolish virgins will keep asking them for oil irrespective of what they say, they decided to give them a solution.

Mathew 25 verses 9
But the wise answered and said, Saying, Not So; lest there be not enough for us and you; **But go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
Verse 11:- And when they went to buy, the bridegroom came and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage and the door was shut

If you noticed very well, you can see I boldened three parts of the last scripture;

1. But ye go rather to them that sell and buy for yourselves
2. Ready
3. Door was shut
   All the highlighted statements show to us that when you do not prepare or get yourself ready, you will be left behind.
   However, it all boils down to the question How are you prepared for the coming of Jesus?.
   The wise virgins took a lot of oil in preparation for the bridegroom.
   It simply means that they kept their garment clean or they kept burning their oil in the alter.
   Jesus will come like a thief in the night.
   Therefore, it will be very detrimental to carry the Spirit of Unpreparedness into the year 2018.
   The Lord is comming uannouned and therefore there is serious need to prepare.
   Of course, even in life, business, job, marriage and every other area, there is need to prepare.
   A saying goes that If you are failing to plan, then you are planning to fail.
   Therefore, you have to put things in place to be successful in everything you do.
   The life we are living is a borowed life.
   Anything you borrow, you are expected to return it without any dent or stain.
   On the last day, where we find ourselve will tell what we have been doing right here on earth.
   This is the right time to prepare for the coming of the Lord.
   Jesus has paid the ultimate price for yu and I.
   This means that there will be no excuse on the last day.
   Look at the following instances;
4. I was in school but I couldn't afford to pay my fees and therefore as a girl you decide to commit fornication.
5. You have graduated for 6 years without a job and thats why you have decided to do a robbery job.
   The two scenarios are not excuses.
   There will be no excuse on the final day.
   You've got to prepare.
   The only difference between the wise virgins and the foolish virgins was in their level of preparedness.
   Likewise, so many christians are still not prepared in the world today and thats why you see all that was said in II Timothy 3 still rampant in the world today.
   Run away from sin and wickedness and things that are unholy.
   In fact, there are two categories of christians.
6. Those who Belong To A church
7. Those who are in church preparing for the coming of the Lord.
   Likewise, 5 of the virgins were ready to make heavy at all cost but the foolish virgins weren't ready at all.
   Look at the reply they were given in Mathew 25 vs 11 and 12.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, Open to us
But he answered and Said, Verily I say unto You, I know You not.

That is what is set to happen on the last day.
The ten virgins were all given equal opportunities to meet with the bridegroom but what distinguised them was their level of preparation.
They kept the fire upon their alter burning.
They took all they needed to ensure they meet with the bridegroom.
As we are going into the new year, you should know that there is nothing that you are doing that God isn't aware of.
Therefore, as I have rightly said in my last post here, clear away the spirit of unforgiveness from your heart.
Know that our final destination is heaven.
Any evil plot we have against our neighbours, friends and family members, remember God is Watching.
Your preparation is anchored on your holyness.
And so Romans chapter 6 clearly stated that;

6 verse 23
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is therefore important to note hear that the death talked about here is not the physical death but the second death.
Heaven Is real and so likewise is hell.
However, God has given us eternal life that can only beaccessed through Jesus Christ.
The life we are living is for Jesus and so we are not expected for whatsoever reason defy it.
Ye have been bought for a price and so we have to live for Jesus alone.

Just reason this out.
Any prayer you pray gives satan an Injury.
What will he now do to the christian that later began to sin and joins him up in hell?
It will be a very unpleasant scene.

Conclusion

Understand the comming of the bridegroom.
He came unexpectedly and it was when the door was shut that the foolish virgins realized that something bad had happened to their destinies.
However, there is still a second chance for you.
Make your new year 2018 all about God and how to do His will.
Use this coming year to touch lives and inspire mankind into serving God even more.
I will round up by saying "Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance".
When you prepare you will not be caught unaware.
