In September 2023, on my return to Serbia from the Montenegro seaside, I decided to stop at a long-desired destination. Biogradska Gora National Park and Biograd Lake are located at an altitude of 1100m above sea level. After 150km, and an hour and a half of driving, I was greeted by a temperature difference of 17 degrees. (from 28°C down to 11°C)
The idea was to rest a bit and have lunch in one of the well-known restaurants, but I quickly changed my mind considering the number of people who flocked here for the same reason as me. Inadequately dressed, I hastily took out my camera and started taking pictures in a circle around the lake. This was the shortest visit to a place that was high-ranked on my bucket list.
This place deserves much more attention and a more seriously planned visit. Its rather harsh nature is rarely but carefully combined with the modern man's desire to leave a trace of "civilization" everywhere.
