I watched a video recently about how swiss chard actually tastes better after a freeze, or even two. Also kale (which never tastes good if you ask me).

I didn't know that about the marigold flowers. I still have some in my yard, dried up and frozen. I'll give those to one of my chicken raising friends.

It's kind of sad, and kind of nice, when the garden no longer requires tending. It doesn't take long before I miss being out there again.

Didn't you also get a lot of snow? We got only 4 inches, just 80 miles south. Enough to plow, but not enough to be dangerous.
