Oh my gosh I forgot about that! She's still in hospital?! That's a long incarceration for you both. What's going on there?
Hopefully they treat you with more respect than I got. They called APS and accused me of munchhausens by proxy the last time he was admitted. Needless to say, he got no help at all. He was discharged after two weeks of abuse, no tests except one unsuccessful colonoscopy, and no treatment, only to find out a week after discharge that he had both e-coli AND c-diff. Again. That's one thing over prescribing antibiotics does - chronic bacterial infections. They also snuck in a flu vaccine against his clearly stated, both written and repeated oral, wishes. He never recovered from that hospital stay. I'm quite sure the vaccine, the first one he had in many years, made his condition much worse.
I'll never forget the conversation I had with the twerpy hospitalist during that visit, which was insisted upon by his GI because he had a simple fever. The twerp tried to explain to me that my son had Crohn's disease (which all of my children and my husband were diagnosed with) and 'Crohn's patients have flares', as if I did not know that! I said "I know what a Crohn's flare is, and this is something else." That's when they called APS on me. Ridiculous. I am grateful that I will no longer have to suffer, along with him, under their "care."
