Follow the money! There is nothing in it for some of them. Others are here for the warm and fuzzies. I tend to support those who have less than I do, and thereby make friends for life. When their upvote finally has some value, I receive recompense for having supported them way back when. I'm still a small-fry here though, and loving it.
