I would add this to @jacobtothe's list as well - stop taking ID with you everywhere you go. If more of us say 'no can do' they will have to stop expecting us to have it. Small legal acts of non-compliance with panopticon customs are one thing we can do.

I bought a home in Tennesse. You;d think a red state would have less of this stuff going on, but Tennesses is very bad with surveillance. Public parking is usually done via an app with camera. I parked in a public garage once with my daughter in the car. She instantly got a notification that she had entered a public garage in someone else's car, with a photo. I will not park in them anymore. She couldn't see the problem.
