Good question. With more and more regulations raining down on us at all levels and aspects of life, whether employee or employer, citizen or governmental agent, all of us are becoming less and less free. We tighten our own shackles every time we touch our phones, for instance. I do not know the solution, other than to be aware that we are far from free. Most North Americans still harbor the illusion that they are free, even though they are anxious, riddled with debt, tethered to the medical cartels, and filling out paperwork with vital private information on a daily basis.
