This traditional horse race is held in the Gayo highlands, Central Aceh, Indonesia. All jockeys are young, 11 to 17 years old.
They never received special training for horse riding or horse racing. Their guts and passion surpassed all else. They clung to the backs of bareback horses that galloped toward the finish.
This traditional horse racing cultural performance is a place for people's parties to unite the community.
