This is an interesting topic. I think that we already know a lot of things, while also in the dark with even more things. But, the things that most people wonder about or question, most likely already have an answer, or can be answered easily. I don't see anything wrong with observing and trying to find reasons for things, since it can help keep the brain and creativity flowing. But I also don't see it as too much different from just relying on what's already known. Those that do can just spend their time on some other things.
