The place was nice and scenic, but it doesn't jump out to me as a lover's place. As you've said, there were a lot of people having picnics, so it is maybe more of a family place than a lovers. It would have been interesting to see the view from the high vantage point, maybe that's where the true beauty of the place shines, and people ask their partners for their hand in marriage.
