I agree with a lot of what you said, especially about smoking, drinking, and not eating healthy. But as for quitting their job and doing something they love, it's easier said than done for a lot of people. First is the stability that regular work provides. If one is a breadwinner or has dependents, taking the risk of quitting their job and doing something they love is out of the question. The second is that not all passions/hobbies can give livable wage. Those who like art and drawings already have difficulty making money, and with the rise of generative AI, their future looks even bleaker. Same goes with other creative fields like writing, programming, etc.
But I do agree that a lot of people are just stupid and addicted to their vices. Also lazy, since people like me are too lazy to exercise.
