Outside the Vox: Steemit's newest producer of great musical/film content

I have decided to introduce you to the non-profit that I have been meticulously working on for the last four years. As the dynamic of entertainment and how we consume it is ever-changing and updating with new technology, it only makes sense that we have performing arts groups that do the same!

Outside the Vox is a performing arts non-profit that consists of an adult rock choir, a teen alt-rock choir, and a 5 person a cappella group making up the part of it that's just choir and music. We also produce independent films, write and make parody videos, original musicals, videos on different variations of songs via a cappella with anywhere from 2-5 people. We have produced live-stage musicals, and have broadcast them online with delay, but hope soon to be broadcasting our original musicals LIVE, ahem, probably with dlive ahem, because how cool is that??? Our content is high quality and gets better with each new project.

So, Beth, your non-profit is going to settle into Steemit as its new home, and bring awesome high-quality music and film content, what's the rub?

Well, it costs money to produce these projects. I am AWESOME with a tiny budget, but as our non-profit has expanded, so have the costs. My husband and I have been running this together for 4 years with zero salary. We only just received our first check from YouTube ever from a musical project that nearly went viral a couple of months ago, and we spent the money sponsoring some families for Christmas in our annual "Miracle on 34th St." project. Right now, I juggle three kids, the now growing BuzzSteem (#fight4steem woot) and all of the background work of managing and juggling the non-profit's finances. I often spend hours and hours applying for grants, and we might receive one for every 50 we apply for. This is precious time that I could be using to write new music, and produce new content! This is where Steemit comes in!!

Luckily since our projects are so spread out, we don't need a lot of money usually all at once. Each project ranges from $500-$3000 and I think that is a totally realistic goal for raising funds from Steemit! Ideally, it would be great to get some #whales onboard, especially since this will absolutely help grow the content on the platform, but more importantly, I just know that users will be impressed with what we have to offer, and if we have enough individual upvotes, we can definitely function without the excessive need for applying for grants. (Not to mention the government and state cutting down on grants available.)

Anything and everything helps us! We hope to make a big splash, but if we don't, we are not afraid of hard work, as we have been growing this thang for years now! I don't think it's a coincidence that I wanted to create an online performing arts non profit and that Steemit is such a perfect fit for that!

We also have done cross-collaborative projects with people from other places, so it would be great to do a giant Steemit collaboration for a song or project! Let us know if you would be interested in something like that!

We have a decent following on Facebook, and a small, dedicated group on Youtube. I don't want to link those on here though, because I want to start us fresh on Steemit! We are leaving the other social medias behind and focusing solely on Steemit!
