I was recently listening to a podcast where the presenter was speaking metaphorically about how we’re always searching for the effortless deliciousness of “aaaahhh” after we sip our tea.

We rush through going to the store, buying the bags, boiling the water, waiting for it to steep, so that we can enjoy that perfect sip.

Then we’ll be happy.

But then we’ve got to finish it before it gets cold. And hurry off to work. And we’ll be happy when we get out of traffic & pull into our parking spot.

Then we’ll be happy when the workday is over.

And on & on it goes.

What if, instead of turning our backs on the beautiful reality of this moment, we allowed ourselves to see the effortless deliciousness that is ever-present?

We chose not to look for more, or bigger, or better, or next, but instead basked in the glorious “aaaahhhh” that’s available to us right here, right now, always?

And let it be enough?

I am sitting in a coffee shop right now enjoyign
