Writing on the blunt side of a stick

Putting the stick into your hands with another plank of wood

Not striping the sticks for specked and spotted goats

Remembering the cross and where it rose

The beauty of the wood within the hands of distant carpenter

He only seems that way for you don't know the way

He's really very near and I am full of fear

For the day of his Word's hammer is so near

Write the name in trumpets, sand blast the very thing

Do your best to honour God and write and type and sing

Sticks and stones will break the bones but a stick with a snake

Will be observed in the time of stinging and will slake

The knots within the wood establish the old pace

And as our clogs are taken off we run a better race

Holiness is the sole purpose of the rule of grace

Let us turn from sin and seek his face

The almond rod has budded, the people have a voice

There are only two options, in life only one choice

You are a slave to mastering, so master all your sound

Take off your shoes and clean your flues for you're on holy ground

There was a stick who dragged through sand where foolish man built house

It was immersed in worms and dragon's blood and louse

There was a stick that was taken by fool-man and his home

And that house was dismembered by the bold and tidal foam

Sticks in the garden, guardian walls
Let the watchman announce, let him stand bold and tall

While the tides around the bride cease from their call

And the sea of people vomit out the beasts

There was a house of little pigs that was made out of straw

Which was all but dismembered by the spirit of wolfmaw

While the ochre coloured joker has a gumball in his jaw

And the house of sticks is reno of the bricks

Beautiful divinity

Holy righteous trinity

Your rod of iron is a metal stick

Let the righteous measures stick

These aren't just words

And let us cease from sick
