Made a post a day back about Islands of Nyne stopping any further update to the game and it just goes to show the battle royale game mode is becoming more and more competitive, meaning games would probably have to think of more ways to improve on their gameplay.
We have seen Fortnite doing just that, with the addition of different game equipment and also the addition of different map mode, but then player unknown battleground is not left out, as the competition is becoming more and more over the day.
Hi guys and welcome to another beautiful and lovely Friday, the weekend just around the corner and Christmas fast approaching, fun all through.
Player unknown battleground recently added a new map mode to the current map mode they offer and I must say the map is looking superb, we seen games go into update to keep up with the current trends, some usually go by nerfing equipment’s to fit battle mode and others go into addition of temporary game mode, this is usually done especially during festive seasons, like Christmas and what have you but seeing a total new game mode is not that common, guess Player unknown battleground wanted to be among the list of games that wants to end 2018 with a blast and thus the new map, Vikendi we see today.
I heard is usually snowy this time of the year in another region, guess they put that into consideration when making this map, also it seems they are trying to cover almost all terrain in terms of map mode as seen on Player unknown battleground so far, we seen desert base map, towns and what have you and then Vikendi, since its Christmas why not make it snowy?
The map covers a wide region, say a 6x6km size, not as large as some previous map created before now but still capable of holding the usual 100 players allocated per session, and also good enough room to ensure battling is proper done, although combat would be a little bit more sooner and over when compared to another map mode before now, with the 6x6km size, players would probably need to advance and push forward more to avoid been caught outside the play zone or players field.
Same game mode can be said, within this new map, as it involves the last man standing as well, battle all player and be the last one alive if you playing on a solo base game or go on a two-man team when you play duo mode and also squad isn’t left out, get your team together and become the best, killing every other team that stands between you and your Chicken Dinner.
The map features certain scene which is quite different from what we been shown so far, we seen mountains, tall buildings, and even bridges were players could do battle and plan various means and tactics to better defeat their enemies but then we never seen a Dino park been introduced or added to any Player unknown battleground map before now.
The terrain is mountain and icy based, meaning players would have to survive the harsh conditions of the cold while trying to battle each other in a deadly match, in real life we probably consider such situation as somewhat impossible and extreme, we been told that the brain becomes unable to respond fully when subjected to intense cold and that’s what this new map tends to bring, intense cold.
Well, I guess they would find a way to cope and survive, after all its human nature to always evolve and become custom to whatever surrounding they find themselves, although at first, it wouldn’t be easy, it gets better.
We see many other games genre, say adventure, action and what have you that features such map but in a battle royale based game, this should be the first. Although, if you differ then do leave a comment behind.
In other for a battle to be properly carried out in such environment, we would need special transportation vehicles, not your regular cars and bike but something a little bit different, that would be able to move with good speed and without limitations or fear of been stuck while riding via the icy terrain.
That’s where special vehicles were added or included to this new map mode, now unlike previous games were you use your regular road cars and trucks, map Vikendi will come with snow mobiles, unlike your regular bike, players will able to shoot while moving via this snow mobile, and also supports more than 1 player seat.
Meaning if you playing on duo mode and you need fast movement, then the snowmobile is your getaway vehicles, truly the map is nothing less than superb and even though it’s quite new, the bug(s) if any are quite negligible so far.
Unlike many other games, were a new patch and update are needed after every huge update due to the updates not usually supporting all features, but it seems the developers made all into consideration and ensured the map would be able to handle everything that was introduce to it.
Thereby creating the beautiful battle arena we now see today.
Map Vikendi is currently available on all Player unknown battleground consoles, meaning users would just have to update their game to get this map rolling if you playing pubgmobile, then the map can be accessed when you update the game via google playstore.
