Well, that makes two of us,
Hi guys and welcome to another beautiful and lovely day, the weather still warm as usual, because it’s the season of harmattan, and Christmas just around the corner with the jingling sound been heard from all directions.
Meanwhile, going to talk a little about one of the anticipated game that will be available 2019, February to be precise and I must say, the first time I watched the trailer which was months back, knew this game was going to be OP, and the subsequent trailers released since then, shows nothing less than the game been superb.
The game will be available on consoles and PC.
Talking about Anthem,
Anthem is an open world co-op or solo third-person shooter gamer, it focuses on exploration of a vast region, were players would have to battle various life forms via an exoskeleton suite which comes well equipped with state of the art battle equipment’s, if you watched the movie Iron man then you definitely going to love this game, the war suite been used is somewhat similar but in terms of weapon customization, can’t really say which is stronger cause that last suite used by Tony stark on avengers infinity war was really op and came with Nano-technology that could self-replicate and heal all damages.
Looking at the aspect of players linking up and battling via controlled exo-skeleton suite reminds me of the game Titanfall, which I did a review on sometime back, players could play as a Titan, were they linked up, taking control of this humungous robots, although they don’t match the description or form to classify this robot as exoskeleton almost same features can be said about both games, in terms of fight style.
Unlike Titanfall were you get to battle other titans and foot soldiers, in anthem your opponent or hostile forces are more of other life forms not humans but they do pack a lot of damages as well.
The game is said to be a co-op mode and supports 1 to 4 different characters each having its own special ability, which involves close range fighting style and long range, like most co-op games, playing missions with each character will tend to increase the likely hood of you defeating the game, but when a particular or similar character was to be chosen, well let’s just hope you and your team know what you getting yourselves into.
Players will be able to move freely on this open world game with no restrictions as each character comes with a fly jet system that allows you to airborne anytime you choose to, making movement somewhat easy and cool, yea why walk when you can fly?
The character or exo-skeletons been used are divided into four different class, and like I said, each exoskeleton comes with their own unique and different abilities.
Names are:
Ranger
Colossus
Storm and
Interceptor.
The name of each exoskeleton is somewhat similar to the role they play, take the ranger, it is well balanced and can be played as any of the roles, be it frontline, range or close-combat, personally I would go with this exo-skeleton lol.
Colossus, yea you already know it, it would probably be a gigantic type exo-skeleton, which probably would be use or play as a frontline, from the brief description given, it seems colossus comes with more defensive mechanism and also close combating system, the ideal character to distract the enemy with while shooting from a range, that been said, you probably going to provide support for him.
Speaking of support, that’s where the interceptor comes in, he intercepts lol, yea this exoskeleton would act as a close-quarter role, meaning it would probably act as a support character when the need be, due to its mechanism that supports fast pace from moving away from danger and attacking very fast as well, if you the type that prefers shoot and defensive type of game, then definitively this character is for you.
While storm, if you watched the movie X-men, you probably seen the character called storm, as the name says, she takes control of the weather and brings in the thunder from a safe distance, although thunder might not be the ability been used here but in terms of range fighting system, this exoskeleton was designed for such.
Players would have to pick the champion that best matches their fighting style, which would be able to deliver damage easily and also evade dangers when the need be, keeping in mind the best way to survive or beat this game would be a team effort and not a solo mode.
If you looking for any co-op game to play, then I would ask you to look into anthem, the game is the definition of third-person shooter co-op game.
Although solo mode would be available where the option for a player to go on a single solo adventure mode, probably due to the absence of other players or you just want to complete the game playing solo, then that’s cool as well,
Unlike moba multiplayer online battle arena games or battle royale games, were you get to team up with noobs, this probably won’t be same, cause fighting against NPC non playable character and PVP player vs player are two different and separate feelings, I believe humans are somewhat harder to defeat as it relates to gaming than NPC.
After all, the npc’s were programmed to follow certain patterns, humans become unpredictable even after playing 10+ games with them, they usually improve and move beyond your expectations.
