Ellis Island Vault • Architectural Photography

The tiled vault is from the Great Hall at Ellis Island where countless numbers of immigrants passed through during the 19th and 20th Centuries. I visited the island last Spring and shot the vault using natural light that was pouring in from a large lunette window.

I photographed the vault with my Canon 5D camera and 70-200 mm lens.
