Greetings friends and friends of Hive Open Mic, I am very excited and grateful to be able to share some music with you. I recently made my presentation for Hive, but as this is the first time I publish a participation in Open Mic, I would like to make a brief introduction: My name is Oswaldo Javier Torres Sanchez and I am a mechanical lathe operator by trade, however, music has always been a passion for me. I currently play the Venezuelan cuatro and I am learning the solo cuatro, although my musical tastes are wide, you will see me sharing a lot of traditional Venezuelan music.
Well, this time I am going to play a traditional Venezuelan song, it is a Venezuelan waltz called "Preciosa Merideña" lyrics and music by Pedro J. Castellanos. This song has been interpreted by great Venezuelan singers like Ilan Chester. I am going to give you my interpretation that although it is not perfect I have tried to do my best. It is undeniable that music makes the world a better place for all as the image of this edition of Hive Open Mic says "A better world for all". Music connects us and removes the differences of race, religion or thought. So I just have to leave my video there and I hope you can take a look at it.
