God's forgiveness - He frees the prisoners.

"Praise the Lord's mercy and his wonders to the children of men!"

This part should be sung by a soprano. It begins with a note of praise, that is, with a beautiful choir that is at the beginning instead of at the end.
As we continue our reading of this Psalm, we will see that He frees the prisoners, and we have here an image of a man who is in prison. Describe that people in times of persecution of the great tribulation. If someone is in prison on that day, God will set him free and take him back to his homeland.
Think of the crowds that were in prison during the Second World War, and all could not go free. And we wonder, how many of them on that occasion will have thought about this Psalm. Now, verse 10 says:

"Some dwelt in darkness and in the shadow of death, imprisoned in affliction and iron"

This is a description of the impotence situation of the prisoner. And verses 14 through 16:
"He brought them out of the darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their prisons, praise the Lord's mercy and his wonders to the children of men, because he broke down the bronze doors and crushed the iron bolts."
Let us remember how God brought Simon Peter out of prison, and how he also freed Paul and Silas from prison in the night. He also freed you and me, when we were in the prison of sin and forgave us. But this forgiveness is for everyone. When one is in a prison, one must accept forgiveness. It is said that a governor forgave a certain criminal, but this man did not want to accept forgiveness. So in prison the guards were faced with a dilemma. What could be done when a person who has been forgiven does not want to accept that forgiveness? Finally they decided to appeal to the judge. And he decided that in that case, the person involved should remain in prison. Dear listener, one must accept forgiveness in order to be released.

Now, the Lord Jesus Christ has a forgiveness for you. In Him we have the forgiveness of sins, but we have to accept it. Have you accepted forgiveness? Have you been freed from the sin and punishment of sin?

This is a beautiful image of God's mercy and let's think about the meaning it will have for the people of God in the future. Many of them will be in prison and God will release them and bring them back to earth.
