Sitting in a sober and agonizing way, little Jude could see his future slowing been snatched from him by his parents who felt were grooming him into a responsible and acceptable man馃槖

Just 12, with great desire to be a Musician but having no choice simply because he was thought to be a child with no mind of his own!

MUM: Darling, it will be a thing of pride to our family if our son should study medicine and be a doctor馃懗

DAD: No woman, i pay his fees here and my stand is that he becomes an engineer "he who pays the piper detects the tune".馃懛

MUM: ok darling, so long as its for the good of our family even though i needed a doctor. Ikenna(the second son) will be a doctor for me then馃拋

DAD: Better, my first son has to be addressed as ENGINEER JUDE馃懘 so that he can buy me all the fine cars and earn me the respects i need among my peers in my old age. I might even be awarded a chieftaincy title prior this馃檶

JUDE: (speaking to himself in low tune for fear of been beaten up) if only they know and would accept my decisions. I really do love singing and very sure i can make the best out of my music career. I can also maje alot of money and respects in music馃槶馃槶馃槶

Well, this is not a strange story in the African (especially Nigerian) concept. How many of us are truly who we thought we would be years back? Just how many!馃槳

Daily, i see young dreams being killed and the dreamer silenced for fear of been neglected and taken as a rebelious child. Parents/ guardiance no longer see needs to consult youn_stars on their passions, aspirations and dreams.

Its even more sadening when the parent/guardian involve is a dictator and very authoritative. You could be beaten to pulp for airing you supposed insignificant passions to their hearing!馃槚

Who will speak for the vioceless?
Who will fight for the strengthless?
Who will rescue our collapsing society from almight parentage?

When will it ever be made known and believed that other professions if well nurtured and supported than yield equal fruit?

Who?
Who will save us this agony?
