I have seen many storms in my life. Most storms have caught me by surprise, so I had to learn very quickly to look further and understand that I am not capable of controlling the weather, to exercise the art of patience and to respect the fury of nature.
The above quotation is attributed to Paulo Coelho de Souza (a Brazilian lyricist and novelist and the recipient of numerous international awards). The truth is, there are many things in life that are simply beyond our control. But hey, that doesn't mean we can't do anything about it. You may not be able to change somethings, but you can definitely change your situation to suit the options at hand. The most important thing is for you to recognized your limitations, exercise the art of patience and look for the silver lining in your presumed predicament.
It's like I always say, if for example on your way to work, you get stuck in traffic, you have one of two options: You can either sit back in your car, lament and complain about how bad traffic is or you can do something worthwhile with that time you are wasting. A productive person might even decide to read their mails, answer their text messages or even listen to some news. Because think about it, you can't really control the traffic and complaining isn't going to make it move any faster.
So in some situations, you just have to exercise the art of patience, readjust your situation to your advantage and let things run their natural course.
