I like to work on color lightning control projects, so I designed a colorful lamp for decorative purposes and entertainment. The color tones that can be obtained with RGB LEDs are surprising.
The lamp has five stems with flowers and an RGB LED in each one. At lamp's base there is the ignition switch, another LED for continuous lighting and the control electronics. The stems can be adjusted to the desired position.
The electronic design is based on Arduino Pro Mini microcontroller board, which controls the colorimetry of each LED. Using pulse width modulation PWM, you can achieve an impressive range of colors and intensities. The flower and its color change is chosen randomly. In this way the set of colors of a given moment is never repeated, you can always see a new combination. Changes are made slowly, to produce fun and relax, and a very pleasant environment in room.
